Thinking about summer research? Research placement? Senior thesis? Wondering what type of research students can get involved with on campus? If ‘yes’, the Science Graduate Research Symposium is for you! This year, the afternoon poster session and keynote lecture are open to undergraduate students. The 1:30pm poster session will consist of graduate students in the Faculty of Science at McMaster presenting their graduate research. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn what research is happening on campus, and to network. The keynote speaker at 2:30pm is Dr. Michael Sonne. Dr. Sonne is a recent graduate with a PhD in Kinesiology from McMaster University. He is currently a baseball scientist for the Major League Baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. He is responsible for integrating new technology and biomechanics data between the field, dugout and analytics team.
