We often hear about the importance of upholding Indigenization and EDIA (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) in science research. This talk will address what this means, why it is important, and how to achieve it. Researchers’ own experiences and perspectives shape how they approach their research practice. Therefore, it is important to understand one’s own researcher identity and its potential impacts on scientific discovery and real-world applications. During the talk, you will be invited to begin your journey of reflecting on who you are as a student researcher in science as a way of embracing Indigeneity and EDIA in your research practice.
