My research program is tackling key questions on what physical processes dominate the formation and evolution of super-Earths and sub-Neptunes around the most abundant stars in the galaxy: low-mass red dwarfs. By focusing on the origins of the galaxy’s most common planets around its most common stars, my program is helping to place our own solar system in the galactic context of planet formation while helping to identify potentially habitable environments in which to search for signatures of life in the coming decades.
