Dr. Kobsar will present research from his biomechanics lab, focusing on how human movement studies are designed and carried out beyond traditional laboratory settings. Using examples from clinical populations, athletic performance, and applied projects with external partners, he will describe how tools such as motion capture, wearable sensors, force platforms, and data analytics are used to collect and analyze real-world movement data. The session will also discuss how undergraduate students contribute to ongoing research in the lab and offer general guidance for students interested in gaining research experience in biomechanics.
